Night shifts
Join our team as a part-time retail sales associate. Engage and connect with our customers; provide excellent customer service; learn customer interests and preferences and help them find new things to love.

Qualifications:
- Good communication skills; ability to speak with customers and guests, promote an overall positive experience, and be an enthusiastic guide
- Skilled at instilling a positive atmosphere / creating a positive vibe
- Quick study as it relates to learning new games, operating toys, etc.
- Mature, action-oriented and goal-driven
- Open to feedback
- Enjoys working in a team environment and achieving goals together
- Ability to use technology efficiently, for example proficient/ comfortable operating handheld barcode scanners, point-of-sale card terminals, multifunctional devices; familiarity with Windows and Mac computers, and Apple and Android mobile devices
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
Responsibilities:
- Greet and connect with store customers and event guests
- Increase customer satisfaction and loyalty through exceptional customer service, product knowledge and appropriate suggestions
- Become knowledgeable in all products offered, and in upcoming events, promotions, etc.; be able to converse with enthusiasts, collectors, hobbyists, etc. of all ages and interest levels
- As an ambassador of the store brand, maintain and demonstrate the company’s values at all times
- Reset tables and ensure event spaces are clean and organized; assist customers and guests
- Complete sales transactions, perform basic math computations when needed
- Answer phone, respond to customer and guest inquiries
- Prepare the store for openings and closings, and maintain store appearance and product organization and availability throughout day, including: restocking and reorganizing displays and shelves; dusting, sweeping, wiping glass before opening, after closing and throughout day as necessary; opening and closing register (including responsibility for cash); opening and closing doors, windows, shades at appropriate times
- Continue to learn and participate in training opportunities to increase job knowledge
Physical requirements:
- Work to be performed primarily at 1 Bridge Street, Irvington NY at a bi-level sales floor separated by stairs, with additional office on second floor; minimal work outside 1 Bridge Street location may include support at outside events, expos, street fairs or local errands related to retail business and event space, as necessary
- Ability to assist customers in all areas of store, including carrying items between levels via stairs
- Ability to walk up and down stairs between retail spaces and second-floor office as necessary
- Ability to stand/sit for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50lbs
- Ability to move furniture (with assistance of others, as needed)
