Job Description
Summary: New Belgium Brewing is a company focused on brewing quality products, and they are seeking a QA Analytical Intern to support their Quality Assurance initiatives. This role involves conducting analytical testing and data analysis within the brewing industry to ensure product and process quality decisions are met.
Responsibilities:
- Collect product, process samples, and perform analytical testing in accordance with established SOPs and work instructions
- Analyze data, interpret results, provide observations or recommendations, and take appropriate actions within scope of responsibility
- Accurately document analytical results, observations, and actions taken
- Operate laboratory equipment including, but not limited to, Anton Paar instruments, GC-ECD, and UV-Vis spectrophotometers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory work areas, equipment, and glassware
- Support non-routine sample testing as directed by senior team members
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, including clear documentation and technical writing abilities
- Solid computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to follow standardized procedures, work independently when needed, and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and interest in laboratory-based quality assurance work
- Must meet department standard physical requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of studies in Brewing/Fermentation Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline
