Fixed Income 2026 Summer Quant Internship

Summary: Neuberger Berman is a private, independent investment manager with a focus on fixed income strategies. They are seeking a highly motivated intern to join their Fixed Income Quantitative team, where the candidate will conduct quantitative research, analyze portfolios, and work closely with professionals across the firm. Responsibilities: - Receive training and mentorship from experienced investment professionals while expanding your knowledge of markets and the economy - Partner with portfolio managers, research analysts, and traders to perform in-depth quantitative research, analyze and optimize portfolios and understand risk Required Qualifications: - Master's degree seekers in finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field - Anticipated graduation Winter 2026 or Spring 2027 - Hungry, proactive, and avid learner with high degree of professionalism and integrity - Demonstrated knowledge of curiosity about fixed income analytics and markets - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analytics tools - Excellent programming skills in Python, R, and other related software - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to transform research and conceptual work into actionable and presentable outcomes - Ability to independently manage multiple projects collaboratively with various stakeholders in a dynamic and changing Fixed Income Markets - Minimum GPA of 3.5 - Chicago based, four days in office, one day remote. 40 hours/week Preferred Qualifications: - Previous work experience preferred Required Skills: Quantitative research, Python, Data analytics tools Important Skills: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint Nice-to-Have Skills: Professionalism, Verbal communication, Written communication, Project management, Integrity Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer
