Job Description: Senior Network Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, Data Center, WLAN, SD-WAN, HCI, ACI, and network security environments. The role will be responsible for ensuring high availability, security, performance, and reliability of critical network services while providing Level-2 and Level-3 technical support.

The successful candidate will also lead network infrastructure projects, drive technology improvements, perform root cause analysis, and mentor junior network engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, HCI, ACI, Data Center, WLAN, SD-WAN, and network security solutions.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network infrastructure devices.
• Manage and support network security technologies, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and NAC solutions.
• Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and health, proactively identifying and resolving connectivity and performance issues.
• Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, technology refreshes, and infrastructure transformation projects.
• Implement and maintain network redundancy, high availability (HA), resiliency, and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
• Manage enterprise wireless infrastructure, including wireless controllers, access points, and WLAN services.
• Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) for major network incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Create and maintain accurate network documentation, topology diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), configuration standards, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with Security, Systems, Cloud, Application, DevOps, and other IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery and infrastructure integration.
• Provide Level-2 and Level-3 support for critical network incidents, service requests, and technical escalations.
• Ensure network infrastructure complies with organizational security policies, governance requirements, and industry best practices.
• Evaluate emerging networking and security technologies and provide recommendations to improve network efficiency, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Lead network infrastructure projects from planning and design through implementation, testing, documentation, and handover.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior network engineers and support teams.
• Participate in change management, maintenance activities, incident management, and on-call support as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
• Strong experience in enterprise network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and operations.
• Hands-on experience with routing, switching, LAN/WAN, Data Center, WLAN, SD-WAN, and network security technologies.
• Experience with Cisco ACI, HCI, firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, NAC, and load-balancing technologies is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing protocols, network security principles, and high-availability architectures.
• Experience handling L2/L3 incidents, escalations, RCA, network migrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Experience leading technical projects and coordinating with cross-functional IT teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
