Position Summary
We're looking for a Level 2 Engineer who's ready to own problems, someone who can handle escalated tickets, keep servers and networks running, and get hands-on with client environments both in the cloud and on-site. This person will be the bridge between our service desk and our senior engineering team: you'll be the go-to for clients when things get complicated, support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments day to day, and build toward more advanced security and cloud work as you grow. Key Responsibilities
Cloud, M365 & Azure
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive
- Assist with Azure infrastructure, virtual machines, and hybrid identity configurations
- Deploy and support endpoints through Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Drive, Admin Console)
- Assist with client cloud migrations from on-premises or private cloud into Microsoft 365/Azure
Security & Compliance
- Support and maintain security controls across client environments: Conditional Access, MFA, and Cynet.
- Help enforce data protection and governance policies to meet client compliance needs (e.g., NIST/CIS, HIPAA, CMMC as applicable)
- Monitor for security alerts and escalate or remediate as appropriate
- Assist with security reviews and documentation of findings
Managed Services, Servers & Desktop Support
- Act as a senior escalation point for Tier 1 tickets advanced troubleshooting across servers, networking, virtualization, and cloud services
- Support on-site client servers, including Windows Server and Active Directory environments
- Troubleshoot networking hardware routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi from vendors like Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, SonicWall, and Unifi
- Get hands-on with desktop and print environments when issues need to be resolved in person
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation for every client environment you touch
AI & Emerging Technology
- Use AI-based tools (e.g., Hatz AI, Security Copilot, Claude) to work more efficiently and support clients better
- Stay current on how AI is changing cloud administration, threat detection, and IT support
Requirements
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems engineering, or infrastructure roles; MSP experience preferred
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure
- Experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, or Azure)
- Comfortable supporting hybrid environments cloud plus on-premises servers, network hardware, and desktop/print infrastructure
Certifications (held or in progress)
- CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Cloud+
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (a plus)
Skills
- Solid working knowledge of Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, and Microsoft Defender
- Comfortable with RMM and PSA tools (ConnectWise, Auvik) and backup solutions (Axcient)
- Basic PowerShell scripting for day-to-day administration
- Solid networking fundamentals: firewalls, VLANs, switches, VPNs, and wireless
- Comfortable working directly with non-technical end users as well as IT leadership and vendors
Other Requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation this role requires regular travel to client sites across NY and NJ
- Based out of, and available for, in-office work at our Staten Island headquarters
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
