The Sr.Manager, Product Operations is a critical operational leader within the Streaming Product organization. Reporting directly to the VP of Streaming Products, this role is the primary interface between the product organization and the external technology vendors who deliver all front-end and back-end developments.
Beyond vendor oversight, this leader drives the processes, rituals, and quality standards that allow the Streaming Product org to ship with confidence. Working hand-in-hand with the Director of Product, Core Experience and the Sr. Manager, Product Integrations this role surfaces risks early, aligns delivery timelines across workstreams, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks between product, QA and development. The QA team reports directly into this role, making the Sr. Manager, Product Operations accountable for both the people who validate quality and the vendors who build the product.
Responsibilities
Manage vendor relationship end-to-end: scope definition, sprint planning, milestone tracking, and escalation handling.
Ensure product requirements (PRDs) and roadmap priorities are clearly scoped with defined acceptance criteria
Establish and hold vendors accountable to SLAs, delivery commitments and code quality standards
Own vendor contract compliance in partnership with legal and finance- tracking SOW adherence, change order requests and budget burn.
Evaluate vendor performance quarterly and provide structured feedback; lead RFP process or vendor transitions when required.
Design implement, and continuously improve the product development operating model- including intake workflows, sprint cadences, cross-vendor dependency tracking, release gates and launch readiness checklists
Maintain the single source of truth for roadmap status across all vendor workstreams, escalating blockers and risks proactively.
Define and monitor operational KPIs spanning vendor delivery (on-time delivery rate, defect escape rate, cycle time, rework rate) and overall product health
Directly manage internal QA team- setting goals, managing performance and providing day-to-day prioritization and coaching
Own the end-to-end quality strategy: test planning, defect triage processes across all development outputs
Define acceptance criteria in partnership with product leads
Ensure QA processes account for the full vendor ecosystem validating that the front-end and the back-end vendor deliverables integrate correctly before release
Serve as the operational bridge between the Di of Product, Core Experience and the Senior Manager, Product Integrations- aligning vendor delivery timelines, surfacing shared dependencies and preventing conflicting launches
Build and maintain dashboards that give the product organization real-time visibility into vendor performance and product delivery status
Communicate proactively about risks, trade-offs and vendor performance
qualifications
Basic Requirements:
5+ years of experience in product operations, technical program management, or vendor/partner management with a technology or media company
Deep familiarity with agile and scrum methodologies as applied to development
Strong analytical instincts- able to define metrics and use data to drive vendor accountability conversations
Demonstrated experience managing and collaborating across cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams
2+ years of management/leadership experience with a track record of driving performance
Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Portuguese, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams across the region.
Strong stakeholder management and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams and external partners.
Desired Characteristics:
Experience in the streaming media, entertainment technology or customer subscription industry
Familiarity with product integration patterns (APIs, SDKs, platform partnerships
Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, Linear, Looker or similar
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to remain calm under pressure or tight deadlines, particularly when working with external partners.
