KTLM Telemundo 40 is seeking a dynamic Multiplatform Producer who can create compelling, timely, and audience-focused content for broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms. This is a dual-role position responsible for producing daily newscasts, executing breaking news, coordinating special programming, and publishing digital content that connects with our Spanish-speaking community across all screens.
Responsibilities
Broadcast & Editorial
Produce and manage daily newscasts with strong storytelling, accuracy, and editorial excellence.
Select, write, organize, and edit content—including headlines, teases, reporter intros, and breaking news scripts.
Execute live elements and coordinate live shots, remotes, and special coverage from the control room.
Stack and manage rundowns, adjusting in real time for breaking news and developing stories.
Collaborate closely with Executive Producers, Assignment Desk, Anchors, MMJs/VJs, Editors, and Production crews.
Copy-edit scripts for clarity, tone, grammar, and compliance with Telemundo standards and legal guidelines.
Participate in daily editorial meetings and contribute original story ideas.
Field produce and assist with planning future coverage as needed.
Multiplatform / Digital Production
Write and publish content for web, mobile, push alerts, OTT/FAST channels, and social platforms.
Coordinate with digital teams to ensure consistency and timely updates across all platforms.
Plan and produce livestreams, explainers, and community-focused digital segments.
Use analytics and audience insights to maximize engagement and reach.
Breaking News & Communication
Respond to breaking news with speed, accuracy, and strong editorial judgment across ALL platforms.
Serve as a clear communicator in the newsroom—coordinating story elements, live logistics, and booking interviews.
Ensure all content aligns with ethical standards, legal requirements, and Telemundo newsroom policies.
Leadership & Collaboration
Work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment with a solutions-focused attitude.
Communicate expectations clearly to talent, MMJs, and production teammates.
Support a positive, collaborative newsroom culture.
qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Fluency in Spanish and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
1–2 years of experience as a News Producer or similar newsroom role.
Excellent writing, storytelling, and news judgment skills.

Must work on-site in the McAllen area and be willing to travel for special assignments.
