LXTV Productions is seeking an Associate Editor to join our team, with a primary focus on George to the Rescue and additional support across our lifestyle series, specials and digital content.
LXTV produces original programming for NBC owned and affiliated stations across the U.S. and internationally, including 1st Look (a travel series spotlighting the best places to eat, play, and indulge), Open House and Open House NYC (showcasing America's most stunning homes with design inspiration from leading industry names), and George to the Rescue (a home improvement series where design and construction experts help families and communities bring their renovation dreams to life). Our content is available on Peacock, the NBCLX Home Network, and through digital out-of-home platforms including taxis, gas stations, buses, and more.
Responsibilities
Track, log, and manage raw media from field producers for George to the Rescue
Organize raw media into day projects; build multicams and string outs ahead of the A-roll process
Curate B-roll wishlists for field producers to support A-block A-roll coverage
Edit A-roll, B-roll, and pull music for show blocks, promos, and sponsor integrations
Prepare blocks for the show build process
Assist the Lead Editor with episode finishing, including color, audio mix, and graphics
Assist with episode exports and pre-delivery QC
Create air promos and format exports for all GTTR episodes
Produce commercials for third-party partners and broadcast promotional content
Create digital and social promo content for vendors and partners
Collaborate with Producers to build non-scripted episodic story
Direct family B-roll shoots (episode dependent)
Export EDLs for music cue sheets
Handle episodic image selection and export formatting
Edit sizzle reels for sales and promotional purposes
Manage media requests between programs and vendors
Supervise post-production for GTTR digital exports
Support other post-production edit needs across the business as priority assignments arise.
Support Airtable assignment requests and department operations as business needs arise
qualifications
2+ years of editing experience
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to pivot quickly
Excellent communicator and relationship builder
Ability to multitask and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
Flexibility to accommodate both East and West Coast work schedules
Current knowledge of production techniques, industry best practices, and emerging capabilities
Extensive post-production knowledge and a thorough understanding of deliverables across all media platforms
Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
