Job Description
Summary: Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Summer Intern to join their team, focusing on stimulating student pharmacists’ interest in drug research and health outcomes. The intern will support various projects, conduct literature reviews, manage information databases, and assist with process improvements while adhering to corporate policies and confidentiality requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects
- Conduct drug literature reviews and provide summaries of pertinent information
- Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry
- Manage, organize, and analyze information databases relative to intern projects
- Support the mission and conduct themselves in a professional and responsible manner while abiding by all privacy and confidentiality requirements
- Follow all corporate and departmental policies and procedures
- Recognize, suggest, and assist with process improvements
- Display critical thinking and problem-solving competencies commensurate with realistic expectations of an intern
- Assist with recordkeeping and filing
- Be available to work 40 hours per week and, if asked, some occasional overtime
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in a Doctor of Pharmacy program
- Must be 18 years or older
- Proven adequate mathematical, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- The intern role is considered a learning opportunity and as such, no specific experience is required
- Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
- The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Preference may be given to candidates with work experience or education paths determined desirable by the department each intern supports
