The National Grocers Association (NGA) is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Coordinator of Events and Member Support to join its team.

Position Summary
The Coordinator, Events and Member Support plays a critical role in delivering exceptional experiences for NGA members, sponsors, partners, and stakeholders. This position supports the operational execution of NGA events, sponsorship fulfillment, Board engagement activities, and membership support initiatives while ensuring seamless coordination across internal teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces in a fast-paced association environment. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys both behind-the-scenes operational work and direct interaction with members, sponsors, and senior industry leaders.
Responsibilities
Event & Sponsorship Operations
- Provide operational and administrative support for sponsorship execution, including registrations, logo collection, hotel coordination, and fulfillment of deliverables.
- Coordinate across internal teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of sponsor and member-facing commitments.
- Oversee the development, production, and distribution of event materials including signage, badges, lanyards, and printed collateral.
- Support the planning and on-site execution of NGA events to ensure a polished and professional attendee experience.
- Assist in managing event timelines, task tracking, and logistical coordination with vendors and venues.
- Coordinate attendee communications and support event registration needs as required.
Board & VIP Engagement
- Provide high-touch, concierge-level support to the NGA Board of Directors and select VIP stakeholders.
- Develop and curate polished Board materials, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and executive-level quality.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for Board members, delivering responsive and personalized support.
- Anticipate needs and proactively manage details to ensure seamless and efficient Board interactions and meetings.
- Manage RSVP tracking and attendance coordination for Board meetings, dinners, and related activities.
- Partner with internal teams on logistical planning and on-site execution for Board meetings and executive-level engagements.
Business Development & Coordination
- Support business development initiatives through research, reporting, and logistical assistance.
- Assist in tracking sponsorships, partnerships, and engagement opportunities to support revenue growth.
- Coordinate sponsor communications regarding deliverables, timelines, and event participation.
- Track sponsorship commitments, invoicing, and recognition across materials and platforms.
- Support sponsor prospecting efforts and preparation of sponsorship packages.
- Collaborate across membership, events, and business development teams to deliver value to members and partners.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, business administration, communications, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in event coordination, membership services, association management, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with CRM or association management systems is a plus.
- Willingness to travel and support on-site event execution as needed.

Salary range is $53,000 - $58,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
