Job Description
Summary: National Grid is a leader in the energy sector, committed to powering progress towards a greener future. The Gridtern Program offers college students practical experience in resource coordination and scheduling, focusing on improving operational efficiency through data analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Help the team improve how they plan, prioritize, and schedule work by turning raw data into clear, actionable reporting
- Enable faster, more informed decision-making by minimizing time spent on manual research and reducing data inconsistencies
- Use tools like Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate to analyze datasets and build visually compelling dashboards that tell the data story
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and drive greater efficiency across the team
Required Qualifications:
- Availability to start on the program start date, June 15, 2026, and work full-time (40 hours a week) for the duration of the summer
- Must be registered as a full-time student and continue your education full-time through the Fall 2026 semester
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or related majors
- Have accumulated 18 or more credits and be at least 18 years of age
- Possess work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (including CPT & OPT)
