Job Description
Summary: NFLcareers is seeking a Player Personnel Associate to support the Player Personnel staff in ensuring compliance with NFL rules and regulations. The role involves communicating with club personnel, managing player records, and providing analytical reports regarding both pro and college personnel information.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with club personnel and other parties regarding League rules
- Maintain and monitor personal, transactional, and contractual records for all players; prepare daily personnel notice and player personnel memoranda; assist with player contract review and salary cap reconciliation process
- Maintain player records on the myNFLinfo website, and for international players and players in other professional leagues, including collection of Consent Forms, and providing analytical reports regarding pro personnel information
- Verify player eligibility, administer the special eligibility process, identify designated underclassmen
- Monitor college scouting rules, including pro days, private workouts, top 30 visits, video interviews, and college all-star game activities
- Maintain the college relations website by working with clubs and college personnel
- Assist in the administration of the NFL Player Assessment Test
- Participate in operating the NFL Draft’s Annual Selection Meeting, and Supplemental Draft, if needed
- Maintain and monitor personal, transactional, and contractual records for all contracted club personnel, including all members of coaching staffs
- Maintain and operate the Football Administration Website, which houses personal, transactional, contractual information used to report on hiring trends and related information
- Assist with the administration of the video interview program for prospective general manager and head coach candidates
- Prepare discussion items, analytical reports, rule proposals, and reports for Committee use (e.g., Competition Committee, General Managers Committee, Coaches Committee, College Relations Committee, Player Safety Committee, Chief Executive Committee, DEI Committee, Club Services Committee, etc.)
- Assist with Department projects such as editing and production of the Player Personnel Handbook, Player Personnel Operational Manual, and Training Camp Directory and organizing the department’s files, and managing the document retention plan
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting on all the above information
- Provide support for other miscellaneous projects
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited four-year College or University
- Prior experience in a college athletics department or a professional sports league or club is preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook)
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- General understanding of NFL Player Personnel rules
- Knowledge of NFL clubs and primary football front office personnel
- Familiarity with the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, AI, and statistical modeling tools a plus
