Job Description
Summary: The National Football League (NFL) is seeking an Associate within the Record to Report team to support the accuracy and integrity of financial records through day-to-day accounting operations. This role involves journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting while maintaining compliance with accounting policies.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries while maintaining the general ledger to meet monthly and quarterly close deadlines
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
- Collaborate with finance teams to gather, review, and validate financial data for statutory and management reporting
- Assist in implementing new accounting standards or regulatory changes as directed by management
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
- Adhere to accounting policies, procedures, and internal control requirements to ensure compliance and data integrity
- Partner with the Global Process Owner and Shared Services teams to identify and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and standardization
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 1-3+ years of relevant experience
