Summary: The National Education Association (NEA) is seeking a Graphics Design Intern for their Center for Communications, Creative Services department for the Summer 2026 session. This internship provides opportunities for students to create and design print and digital material while collaborating with a creative team and receiving feedback on their work. Responsibilities: - Create and design print and digital material - Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadline - Retouch and manipulate images - Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media - Collaborate with the Creative Director and creative team to develop design concepts - Receive feedback from the Creative Director and creative team and make necessary changes - Assemble final files for printing or digital use Required Qualifications: - Students pursuing degrees in Education, Political Science, Government, Human Resources, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Business, Finance, Economics, Management, Communications, Computer Science, Journalism, Mass Media, Graphic Design, Digital Communications and other disciplines are encouraged to apply - Create and design print and digital material - Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadline - Retouch and manipulate images - Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media - Collaborate with the Creative Director and creative team to develop design concepts - Receive feedback from the Creative Director and creative team and make necessary changes - Assemble final files for printing or digital use - Skill in using a computer and/or laptop - Oral and written communication skills - Skills in proofreading and editing - Use of clear and articulate speech - Interpersonal relations skills - Reasoning and problem solving skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Ability to sit for long periods, stoop, bend, reach and carry light materials (up to 10 lbs.) - Ability to travel by various methods of transportation, e.g., airplane, car Required Skills: Graphic Design, Print Design, Digital Design, Image Retouching, Graphic Design Software, Brand Guidelines Adherence, File Preparation for Printing or Digital Use Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer
