Job Description
Summary: NASCO is seeking a Human Resources Intern to lead a project-based initiative focused on building an accurate job library for the organization. The intern will create and update job descriptions, establish job families, and oversee the rollout of an updated job description repository, gaining hands-on experience in HR process improvement and project management.
Responsibilities:
- Partners with HR team members and business leaders to review, draft, and update job descriptions across multiple functional areas
- Ensures job descriptions are consistent with organizational job architecture
- Assists in evaluating job levels, scope, and competencies to support alignment with career paths and talent practices
- Applies best practices for job description structure, language, and compliance considerations
- Supports the design, implementation, and ongoing management of a centralized job description repository
- Tracks project progress, maintains documentation, supports change‑management efforts, and delivers regular status updates and final results
- Develops or updates process documentation, templates, and user guides related to job description management
- Supports HR with ad hoc initiatives related to talent management, job architecture, or process improvement as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to participate in a full-time internship from mid-May through early August 2026 (40 hours/week)
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate information into clear, concise job descriptions
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with SharePoint or similar document management tools is a plus
- Proficient in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams
- Proficient in Ai tools and Ai prompting
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or graduate degree in Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Coursework or experience related to job analysis, compensation, job evaluation, or talent management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with HR systems, job libraries, or content management tools
- Interest in HR strategy, job design, and workforce planning
- Prior HR internship or project experience (corporate or consulting)
