Electricaly Biased Planning roles at Hinkley Point C Permanent roles Bridgwater – Hinkley Point C Competitive salary, car or car allowance + uplifts and allowances for working away NG Bailey are proud to be involved in the Hinkley Point C project based in Bridgwater, Somerset. This is the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in Britain providing zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes. NG Bailey, the UK’s leading independent engineering and services business, are proud to be part of the MEH Alliance, a joint venture to deliver the mechanical, electrical and HVAC installation for the project. Due to growth expansion as we are looking to strengthen our Planning function within the MEH Alliance and will have vacancies coming up on the project for Electrically biased Planners, Senior Planners and a Planning Manager over the coming months.
Therefore we would be keen to hear from potential Planners who would be interested in joining this iconic project as it matures in it’s development.
These will be permanent staff position with NG Bailey and the applicants will need to work from the Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater. We do offer generous uplifts and allowances for working away from home.
Responsibilities Key deliverables in this role are:
Demonstrate appropriate health and safety leadership to ensure the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive throughout all activities. Ensure that all planning related activities are carried out in compliance with contractual obligations, internal processes and external legislation governing business operations Arrange and facilitate integrated planning meetings, engaging with all relevant stakeholders to develop and agree the plan Participate within bid activities as required Work closely with relevant project personnel and external customer in order to produce/ agree a contract baseline programme for each allocated project Maintain and update contract baseline in line with any agreed contract changes, ensuring changes are communicated to all stakeholders Ensure that progress and productivity is effectively monitored against project plan, produce clear reports for all stakeholders Ensure that planning outputs/reports are produced for contract reviews. Support the operational teams in order to ascertain whether project targets are being achieved and jointly establish and agree any corrective measures where necessary. Perform time/risk analysis against programmes at regular intervals with the planning manager/senior planner, and the project manager.
Requirements To be successful in this role you will have:
Considerable experience in a planning role on large MEP projects, preferably regulated environments, ideally nuclear sites. Construction site experience Primavera/Asta Powerproject A relevant industry or professional qualification/apprenticeship. Able to achieve BPSS clearance
