Head of Sales (Cloud MSP) at MVC Resources · Kuala…

About the Role We are urgently seeking a highly commercial, energetic, and fiercely ambitious Head of Sales to drive revenue generation and aggressively build the sales function in Malaysia. Reporting directly to the Malaysia Country Director, this role is designed for a frontline builder—someone who thrives on being hands-on and is hungry to rapidly scale a business. Aligned with our core hiring philosophy, we are prioritizing a strong sales foundation, commercial mindset, and execution capability over sheer years of experience or the biggest corporate title. Key Responsibilities Frontline Revenue Generation: Take extreme ownership of the Malaysian sales pipeline, hunting new enterprise accounts, and personally driving high-value business development. Hands-On Sales Leadership: Build, develop, and guide the sales function from the trenches. This is an execution-heavy mandate requiring active involvement in qualifying, structuring, and closing deals rather than purely managing a team from a distance. Commercial Strategy: Formulate and implement aggressive sales strategies to accelerate our market penetration and top-line growth in the local IT and cloud ecosystem. Cross-Functional Agility: Adapt and learn quickly across various cloud and business operations, taking on broader responsibilities as the business scales and the sales team expands. Requirements The Ideal Candidate Profile Commercial DNA: You possess a proven track record in B2B sales with a relentless, metric-driven focus on revenue generation. Builder Mindset: You are highly energetic, fiercely ambitious, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where you are expected to build the engine while driving it. High Potential Over Pedigree: You might not have the most senior executive title yet, but you possess the fundamental sales foundation and the hunger to learn rapidly and take on Head of Sales responsibilities. Cloud Ecosystem (Strong Advantage): Existing networks, relationships, or exposure to the AWS ecosystem is a strong bonus. However, exceptional commercial ability and hustle will always outweigh direct AWS experience. What We Are NOT Looking For We do not want executives who are only comfortable delegating. If your preference is purely people management without getting your hands dirty in direct client negotiations and business development, this is not the right fit. We prioritize the right mindset, hustle, and potential over a candidate who has simply "done it all" but lost their willingness to grind.
