Summary: Mueller Water Products, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water distribution industries. The Engineering Intern will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, working on process improvements and documentation while being part of the engineering team. Responsibilities: - Designing and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, and documentation to achieve the production goals of the organization - Involved in process improvement initiatives and projects to improve the manufacturing processes - Will engage in implementation of ECO's (Engineering Change Orders) and ECR's (Engineering Change Requests) from design engineering and floor operators - Revising documentation used in manufacturing processes and assisting operators on a day-to-day basis - Identify and develop process and equipment needed to produce specific products, parts, and components Required Qualifications: - Pursuing a Bachelor or Master Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other mechanical or manufacturing related field - Must be on track to graduate with a degree in the next 1 to 2 years - Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on MS Office - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and take direction from others - Candidate must be able to lift 25 lbs Preferred Qualifications: - Lean or Toyota Production Systems training - Coursework with CAD/Drafting and/or programming Required Skills: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Important Skills: Lean Manufacturing, CAD/Drafting Nice-to-Have Skills: MS Office, Independent Work Benefits: Medical, Dental, And vision insurance, 401k plan with 5% Company match, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), Short-term and long-term disability benefits, Vacation, 100% paid parental leave, Tuition reimbursement program, Student debt retirement matching, Well-being program, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Company-provided life insurance, Supplemental insurance at group rates, And more.
