Respiratory Therapist at MSI Health Solutions in Cookeville, TN

We’re looking for a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to handle as-needed in-home sleep therapy setups for CPAP and BiPAP patients. This is a 1099 independent contractor role paid per completed setup (not hourly), and mileage is reimbursed. You’ll visit patients at home to set up their PAP equipment and teach them how to use it, and you’ll only be scheduled when visits are needed. What You’ll Do: Complete in-home CPAP/BiPAP setups per provider orders and prescribed settings Fit masks, help patients choose the right interface and size, and adjust for comfort and seal Teach patients how to use, clean and maintain their equipment, plus what supplies they need Make sure patients understand their therapy goals and why staying compliant matters Reinforce provider instructions Troubleshoot basic fit, comfort, leak and equipment issues Document setups, settings, patient education and patient status Coordinate with the DME and clinical teams as needed Pay Structure: Paid per completed setup/visit Mileage reimbursement 1099 independent contractor (PRN) Flexible scheduling: accept jobs as they’re available Requirements: Active RT license in the state of assignment (RRT or CRT) Experience with CPAP/BiPAP setups, mask fitting and patient education Home health, DME or sleep experience preferred Strong patient education and communication skills Reliable transportation Comfortable with mobile/in-home visits Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor PRN / As-Needed Mobile Field Role EEO and inclusion We’re an equal opportunity partner.
