IOM Technologist | MPOWERHealth

Every surgery has a team protecting the patient. You are the one protecting their nervous system.

When a patient goes under anesthesia for a complex spinal or neurological procedure, they place extraordinary trust in the hands around them. As an IOM Technologist at MPOWERHealth, you are a critical part of that circle of care — monitoring the patient's brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves in real time, ready to act the moment something needs attention.

This isn't just a technical role. It's a calling for someone who understands that their skill and focus can mean the difference between a patient walking out of the hospital or not. If that kind of purpose drives you, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do: Protect Patients. Partner with Surgeons. Make a Difference.

Your Role in the Operating Room

Every case is different. Every patient is counting on you. Here's how you show up for them:

• Before the first incision, you meet with patients, review their history, and explain what neuromonitoring means for their safety. You are often their last reassuring voice before surgery begins.Patient Assessment:

• You are the eyes on the nervous system throughout the procedure — continuously reading electrophysiological data, spotting early warning signs, and alerting the surgical team in real time when it matters most.Intraoperative Monitoring:

• You work side-by-side with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff. Your communication and expertise directly influence surgical decisions and patient outcomes.Team Collaboration:

• You interpret complex waveforms, correlate findings with surgical events, and document everything with precision. Your records protect the patient long after they leave the OR.Data Integrity:

• You contribute to a culture of continuous improvement — helping make care better not just for today's patients, but for every patient who follows.Quality & Innovation:
