Job Description
Summary: Movement Mortgage is a company redefining what it means to be an Impact Lender, committing a significant portion of profits to community impact. The Business Operations Analyst will partner with various teams to identify automation and AI opportunities, design and implement solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with business owners across Operations, Finance, Technology, and other functional teams to identify automation and AI opportunities within day-to-day workflows
- Design, build, and implement automation solutions that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and increase speed (e.g., reporting, tracking, reconciliations, and operational processes)
- Develop dashboards, tools, and recurring reports that provide business owners with clear visibility into performance, trends, and risks
- Leverage AI tools to enhance data analysis, reporting, forecasting, and decision support
- Assist in piloting, testing, and scaling automation and AI tools in collaboration with Technology and Data teams
- Translate business problems into structured analytical and technical solutions that can be implemented and maintained
- Support continuous improvement by monitoring deployed solutions and iterating based on feedback and performance
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-moving environment
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a similar field
- 0–1 year of professional experience
- Knowledge in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated interest in or experience using AI and automation tools to improve business processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently deliver high-quality work on time
- High comfort with ambiguity and complex, fast-moving environments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and professional presence
- A proactive, curious mindset with a desire to learn and grow within the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior internship or work experience in the financial services or fintech industry
- Coursework or certifications in financial analysis, data analytics, or business intelligence
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools, prompt engineering, or automation platforms
