Responsibilities: - Assisting in operational support on client accounts (calls, paperwork, maintenance) - Learning how to connect with members & branch employees - Learning how to prospect to members of the credit union - Learning the financial planning process - Observing advisor-client appointments Required Qualifications: - Have a strong interest in pursuing a financial planning/wealth management career - Exceptional interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask - Have some knowledge of financial markets and macro-level economic trends - Strong analytical skills - Highly inquisitive, focused and pro-active - Good judgment and discretion when working with confidential information - High school diploma or equivalent - Currently attending an educational institution with an emphasis in Wealth Management, Business, Finance or Financial planning or related field - Must have the ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in written and oral form - Ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms consistently - Ability to stand, walk, kneel and crouch occasionally - Ability to lift up to 10 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds occasionally - Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more) Required Skills: Financial planning knowledge, Analytical skills Nice-to-Have Skills: Multitasking ability, Judgment, discretion, Inquisitive nature, financial markets
