Job Description
Summary: Motorola Solutions is a global community focused on safety and security technologies. They are seeking an Intern to assist with embedded software development, debugging, and testing for advanced MIMO MANET radios.
Responsibilities:
- Embedded firmware development, implementation, testing, and debugging for Silvus StreamCaster radios
- Development of firmware testing environments and scripts
- Opportunities to further engage, learn, and develop skills as projects progress
Required Qualifications:
- In-progress Bachelor's degree or preferably in-progress graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical fields
- Ability to work independently upon receiving instruction/feedback, take initiative, and effectively interact with cross-functional teams and customers
- Proficiency with PC office applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and the internal team
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts
- All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug testing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AMD/Xilinx FPGA's and ARM processor cores
- Working knowledge of wireless communications and networking protocols
- Understanding of communication systems and signal processing algorithms, including areas such as channel estimation, beamforming, etc
