Job Description
Summary: Motivo is looking for passionate Project and Product Managers across multiple experience levels to join our team. The role involves supporting and leading client-facing hardware development projects, requiring collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams and effective communication of project status and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Support and/or lead client-facing hardware development projects from initiation to completion
- Partner closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and industrial design teams
- Translate client needs into clear technical objectives, schedules, and deliverables
- Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resources in a dynamic environment
- Communicate project status, risks, and next steps to internal teams and clients
- Help resolve technical, schedule, and interpersonal conflicts with a calm, solutions-oriented approach
- Balance scope, cost, schedule, and performance tradeoffs
- Thrive in environments with evolving client needs and figure-it-out requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Comfort operating in ambiguity
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to balance technical, schedule, and business constraints while driving projects forward
- Support and/or lead client-facing hardware development projects from initiation to completion
- Partner closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and industrial design teams
- Translate client needs into clear technical objectives, schedules, and deliverables
- Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resources in a dynamic environment
- Communicate project status, risks, and next steps to internal teams and clients
- Help resolve technical, schedule, and interpersonal conflicts with a calm, solutions-oriented approach

- Thrive in environments with evolving client needs and figure-it-out requirements
- Understanding of hardware product development and system integration across mechanical, electrical, software, and industrial design domains
- Ability to apply agile methodologies to both hardware and software development
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly to engineers and clients
- Experience managing technical risk, cost, schedule, and performance tradeoffs
- Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving scope
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Experience working with tightly integrated multidisciplinary teams (professional or academic—Formula SAE, Solar Car, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with embedded hardware and controls development (strong plus)
