Coordinator, Research & Sample Strategy at Morning Consult · New York

Summary: Morning Consult is a global decision intelligence company changing how modern leaders make smarter decisions. The Coordinator, Research & Sample Strategy will manage internal research initiatives, facilitate daily operations, and align research projects with business objectives while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: - Collaborating with some of the world's leading experts in survey methodology to understand project objectives, create timelines and manage the execution of initiatives within the Research Operations & Analytics group - Collaborating on research operations, building systems and processes to field incoming requests, prioritizing individual tasks and tracking project progress - Maintaining and scaling project management databases to help drive efficiency - Creating and maintaining documentation, memos and project reports for internal and external audiences - Performing such other tasks and duties as may be required or assigned from time to time in the Company’s discretion Required Qualifications: - BA/MA in a social science — communication, psychology, political science, economics or a related field - 1-2+ years of experience in survey research, project management or a similar role - Experience with data analytics and/or survey methodology a plus - Demonstrated curiosity about AI tools (i.e., ChatGPT, Claude) and experience leveraging them to improve research workflows, documentation, analysis, or operational efficiency - Strong project management skills, ability to oversee multiple projects in parallel and take initiative on projects - Experience with lean or agile project management; experience with Asana or Jira a plus - Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to adapt to the audience to translate findings into digestible and actionable insights - Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets - Comfort working in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment - Low ego, consummate team player; comfortable working across departments and job levels - Willing to take feedback, learn and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement Required Skills: Survey research, Data analytics, Project management Important Skills: Survey methodology, Asana, Jira, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets Nice-to-Have Skills: Continuous self-improvement Benefits: This role is eligible for an equity grant, which will be discussed in your initial recruiter conversation., Please see an overview of Morning Consult’s benefits on our Career Page.
