The Mechanical Design Engineering team is seeking a summer block intern to contribute to key engineering tasks and provide technical support to engineers, while gaining hands-on experience in mechanical design. Responsibilities: - Contribute to the preparation and execution of key engineering tasks at Moog - Provide technical support to engineers, as needed - Work experience may include creating test systems; setting up and running tests with power supplies control software, test pump, and test loop; taking operational performance data to characterize pump performance (power, pressure, flow, temperature, NPSH) and presenting summary of data; and/or learning about general rotating machinery (centrifugal pumps, fans, blowers) and how they operate in a system (i.e., pipes or ducts) based on the student's educational discipline - Provide input on project processes, strategies, and execution - Operate as a multidisciplinary member of a team of creative, independent individuals - Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical and professional reputation Required Qualifications: - Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer Engineering and/or other relevant bachelor's or master's Degree program, at an accredited university - GPA of at least 3.0; exact GPA requirement will be specified by department - This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information - Ability to relocate for the duration of the internship - Professional disposition, effective communication skills, a strong desire to learn, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment Required Skills: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics Important Skills: Computer Engineering Nice-to-Have Skills: Desire to Learn Benefits: Flexible paid time off, Holidays, Relocation assistance, Employee Resource Groups, Cultural events and celebrations, Annual bonuses, Employee stock purchase plan, An open paid time off policy, Many region-specific benefits
