Job Description
Summary: Moog Inc. is a global leader in motion control across land, sea, air, and space, pioneering advanced solutions to drive cutting-edge innovation. The Associate Product Engineer will support missile control actuation systems, ensuring design integrity and quality while providing production instructions and collaborating with multiple departments to resolve production issues.
Responsibilities:
- Provide production assembly/test instructions to operations personnel to maintain efficient production. These instructions include formal Work Instructions, Acceptance Test Procedures, engineering memos, and Electronic Historical Record entries
- Support the evaluation and implementation of equipment to meet production requirements for operations department. These include assembly fixtures and tools, production flow-line systems, and test equipment
- Assure and maintain design integrity, producibility and quality in development and production products
- Perform engineering analysis to assess non-conformances or technical issues that occur during assembly and test
- Develop RCCA analyses that ensure long-term solutions to prevent recurring problems
- Collaborate with other Moog resources to resolve production problems, performing Material Review Board (MRB) analyses, and assisting in evaluation for possible notice of escape (NoE) to customers
- Coordinate with multiple departments to work through roadblocks and ensure on-time delivery of hardware
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or comparable field of technology engineering
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
- The ability to write work instructions
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, system schematics and other technical documentation with a preference for GD&T (geometric dimensions and tolerances) knowledge
- Technical expertise in pneumatic or electromechanical actuation products, electronics, and related technologies
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and coordination with internal and external customers, suppliers, etc., on complex projects and issues
- Understanding of manufacturing principles and processes
