SENIOR DIRECTOR PERFORMANCE INFORMATICS Location: 6 Executive Plaza City/State: Yonkers, New York Grant Funded: No Department: Office Of The Chief Quality Officer Work Shift: Day Work Days: MON-FRI Scheduled Hours: 8:30 AM-5 PM Scheduled Daily Hours: 7.5 HOURS Pay Range: $192,000.00-$240,000.00 Job Summary The Senior Director, Performance Informatics is responsible for leading the Data & Analytics team in the Network Performance Group as well as leading interdepartmental efforts at the medical center and health system to enhance theabilitytoacquireandanalyzedataforquality/performanceimprovementeffortsandprovideexpertisefortheprioritizationof quality topics where resources should be devoted. This includes, but is not limited to, contributing to strategic planning to improveMontefiore’sabilitytorespondtoexternalpay-for-performance programs as well asimprove Montefiore’s performance in public hospital rankings (e.g., CMS Hospital Quality Star Rating) ,settingperformancegoalsfor performance improvement, facilitating quality/performance improvement activities by serving as an expert in health policy and quality measurement,advisingandassistingwiththeacquisitionofdataneededtosupportquality/performanceimprovementactivities,providingquantitative/analyticexpertisetogaugesuccesswithmeetingquality/performanceimprovementgoals, and serving as a lead executive, in partnership with MIT, in establishing a standardized data governance and reporting infrastructure via the new enterprise reporting standard, Power BI. Qualifications: PhD in Health Policy, Informatics, or other related health care field Required 10+ years of experience in Data and Analytics Required Leadership experience at a large academic medical center Required Possess advanced training and experience in econometrics/statistics, data management, data reporting, and study design ExpertknowledgeoffederalandNYstatehealthpolicypertainingtoqualityandpatientsafety,qualitymeasurement(QI)programs,and associatedpenalties/consequencesandbeabletooperationalizethisknowledgeintotangibleQIstrategiesandworkproducts Strong experience with quality measures and quality improvement methodologies Ability to work with structured query language (SQL), PL/SQL desirable, and Oracle Developer or other related software Experiencewithatleastonestatisticalsoftwarepackage(e.g.,SAS,Stata,R,etc.),butexperienceinmorethanonepreferred Experience with visualization software packages (e.g., Tableau, Web Intelligence, etc.) Knowledgeableaboutdatawarehousing,datamodels,andmetadata Experiencepartneringeffectivelyacrossvariouslevelsofanorganization(e.g.,C-suiteandotherleaders,databaseengineers,business analysts, clinicians,etc.) Abilitytocommunicateeffectivelyinwritingandverballyaswellaspossessstronginterpersonalskills Strongprojectmanagementskillsrequired Strongly preferred ability to contribute to the education of medical students at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (i.e. hold faculty appointment of Assistant Professor or greater) Montefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
