Service Advisor at Monaghan and… · Castlebar

Monaghan & Sons Ltd Castlebar Main Skoda and Hyundai dealers are looking to recruit a service advisor. Our service advisors are the first point of contact for many of our customers, so we need somebody who has a friendly & professional approach to customers at all times. Must be able to multi-task, and work in a team environment, as well as on their own initiative.

• To manage all service enquiries
• Agree with the customers a date and time for the service/repair to be carried out
• Carry out a handover with the customer after the service/repair explaining exactly what work has been carried out on their vehicle
• Liaise with the workshop manager to ensure the optimal flow of work through the workshop.
• Prepare and submit warranty claims answering any queries arising
• Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure that the correct parts are ordered for the job and will be available
• Liaise with customers while their vehicle is in the workshop to inform them of the estimate of the costs involved in any additional work and obtain authorisation for all such additional work
• Liaise with the Workshop to ensure that the customers’ needs are communicated to the Technicians and negotiate any actions required to ensure that the Customers requirements are met.
• Possess excellent problem-solving ability.
• Work well under pressure.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Have a full, valid and current driving licence.
• Previous experience in a service advisor, aftersales or customer facing role in a retail/hospitality environment an advantage .
• Knowledge and experience in software systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organisational and administration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy workshop environment.
• Good attention to detail with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge or interest in the automotive industry is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From €29,000.00 per year
