Job Description
Summary: Modulate is a frontier AI lab specializing in voice understanding models. The Analyst - Data & Product Insights will drive strategic decision-making by translating complex data into actionable insights, ensuring product metrics are consistent and aligned across teams, and fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Drive strategic decision-making by translating complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Ensure product metrics are consistent, trusted, and aligned across teams and customer implementations
- Create dashboards and visualizations that become go-to resources for reporting on the product as well as understanding customer behavior
- Play a critical role in shaping a data-driven culture where insights fuel innovation and growth
- Own product metrics & definitions, ensuring metrics are consistent, trustworthy, and well-documented, including customer-specific customizations
- Build and maintain dashboards that surface product usage and performance
- Build clear, concise readouts (slides, docs, summaries) to communicate findings when needed
- Help turn data into decisions, not just dashboards
- Perform deep-dive analysis investigating things like changes in usage, retention, or error patterns and explore ‘what-if’ scenarios to assess potential drivers and outcomes
- Translate complex data into clear narratives for Customer Success, Product, leadership, and customers
Required Qualifications:
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, event-based datasets
- Experience building and owning dashboards
- Experience analyzing product usage data and defining meaningful metrics
- Proven ability to define product metrics and analyze product usage
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional partners
- Product intuition and curiosity about user behavior
- Strong communication skills, including presenting insights in slides or written form
- Bias toward action and iteration in a fast-moving environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on API, platform, or developer-focused products
- Experience with experimentation and A/B testing
- Experience partnering with Analytics Engineers or Data Engineers
- Background in product analytics, growth analytics, or data science
