Job Description
Summary: Moderna is a biotechnology company focused on mRNA technology, and they are seeking an MBA intern to join their People and Technology organization. This role will involve supporting initiatives related to AI and data platforms, helping to analyze and organize data to enhance decision-making and improve workflows across the company.
Responsibilities:
- Support execution of initiatives related to AI, data platforms, and workflow improvements
- Work with teams to gather, organize, and analyze data that supports AI use cases and business decisions
- Help identify opportunities where AI and data can improve efficiency, productivity, and ways of working
- Translate business needs into clear problem statements, actionable next steps, and roadmaps
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align on priorities and move work forward
- Track key activities, risks, and dependencies across initiatives
- Develop clear materials (e.g., presentations, summaries, updates) for stakeholders
- Contribute to short-term plans that accelerate adoption of AI tools and data-driven workflows
- Data preparation and analysis to support AI initiatives
- Applying AI tools to improve workflows and productivity
- Supporting adoption of data and digital platforms across teams
- Coordinating cross-functional efforts tied to workforce and operating model changes
- Supporting pilots and early-stage AI-enabled solutions
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an MBA or equivalent graduate program
- 3–5+ years of prior professional experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including comfort working with data
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite in Cambridge, MA for the duration of the internship
- Candidates must already hold work authorization in US and be able to maintain that status without the need for future sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare, biotech, consulting, or technology
- Familiarity with AI, data, or digital tools in a business context
- Experience working with data to support analysis, reporting, or decision-making
- Experience supporting projects, operations, or process improvements
- Ability to work across teams and navigate ambiguity
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
