Job Description
Summary: Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Inc. is seeking an Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. The intern will support engineering projects focused on process improvements, automation initiatives, and production efficiency, while collaborating with experienced engineers and production teams.
Responsibilities:
- Support engineering projects focused on manufacturing process improvements and optimization
- Assist in developing, troubleshooting, and refining manufacturing processes and equipment
- Create and update work instructions to transition processes from Engineering to Production
- Analyze production processes to identify improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with automation design, development, and implementation projects
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and production teams
- Support additional engineering-related tasks and projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Foundational knowledge of engineering principles and their application to manufacturing and product design
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and dimensional tolerances
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
