We are looking for interns who want to gain experience and skills in areas such as Social Media Strategy, Content Creation, UGC, Community Management, and more.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
The Social Media & Content Strategy Intern will play a critical role in expanding Miss EmpowHer's brand across Instagram, TikTok, and other key platforms. Your work will focus on:
Content Creation & Strategy:
- Develop and write engaging, lifestyle-focused captions and strong calls-to-action tailored for Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant platforms
- Conceptualize, script, and assist in the production and editing of short-form video content (Reels, TikToks) focused on career tips, lifestyle hacks, and empowerment moments
- Design supporting visual assets using tools like Canva, ensuring brand consistency across all platforms
Content Calendar & Planning:
- Build and maintain a monthly content calendar that reflects brand campaigns, events, trending moments, and community spotlights
- Research platform trends, audio trends, and content formats to inform a proactive and timely content strategy
- Collaborate with the graphic design, email, and events teams to ensure cohesive cross-channel storytelling
Community Engagement & UGC:
- Actively monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, and mentions to nurture an engaged, supportive community
- Identify, curate, and secure permission for User-Generated Content (UGC) from the Miss EmpowHer network
- Utilize interactive features (polls, Q&As, quizzes, lives) to drive community participation and conversation
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Track platform KPIs including reach, impressions, saves, shares, video views, and follower growth
- Provide weekly performance reports with data-driven insights and recommendations for content optimization
- Stay current on social media algorithm updates and platform feature releases
🎯 Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, or a related field
- Strong working knowledge and active use of Instagram and TikTok, with an understanding of Reels trends, short-form video strategy, and platform algorithms
- Proven creative ability in content writing, visual storytelling, and social media content design; proficiency with Canva and mobile video editing apps is preferred
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write in a voice that is inspiring, relatable, and on-brand for Gen Z and Millennial women
- Highly organized, resourceful, and capable of managing a content calendar independently within deadlines
- A genuine passion for Miss EmpowHer's mission of women's empowerment, professional growth, and lifestyle content
