Miss EmpowHer, a dynamic media company and community dedicated to helping ambitious women connect, grow, and glow up, is seeking a motivated and driven Public Relations Intern to help amplify our brand's voice and media presence.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to gain hands-on experience in media relations, press outreach, and communications strategy for a mission-driven brand reaching 250K+ Gen Z and Millennial women and featured in outlets including Forbes, Essence, and Good Morning America.

🔑 Key Responsibilities
The Public Relations Intern will play a critical role in growing Miss EmpowHer's media presence and brand reputation. Your work will focus on:
Media Relations & Press Outreach:
- Research and build targeted media lists of journalists, editors, podcasters, and bloggers relevant to women's empowerment, career development, and lifestyle
- Draft and distribute press releases, media pitches, and story angle recommendations
- Track media coverage and compile press clippings and coverage reports
Brand Communications:
- Assist in drafting external communications including brand announcements, partnership highlights, and founder features
- Help develop and maintain a press kit and media assets for Miss EmpowHer
- Support the creation of thought leadership content in alignment with the brand's messaging pillars
Partnership & Collaboration Support:
- Identify and research potential brand partnership, podcast, and media collaboration opportunities
- Assist in outreach to potential collaborators, influencers, and community partners
- Help prepare pitch materials and follow-up communications for partnership development
🎯 Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, concise, and polished press materials
- Understanding of basic PR principles including media pitching, press releases, and brand messaging
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple outreach efforts simultaneously
- Familiarity with media databases (e.g., Muck Rack, Cision) or a willingness to learn is a plus
- Self-motivated and resourceful in a remote work environment
- A genuine passion for Miss EmpowHer's mission of women's empowerment, professional growth, and community
