Specialist Technical Analyst
Job Description
The purpose of this position is to lead and drive the design, innovation, and governance of CAD 3D/2D models representing the organization’s product portfolio. This role ensures high-quality, scalable, and efficient CAD solutions that support product specification across platforms such as CAD Pack, CET, pCon, and other industry tools, while aligning with business, engineering, and manufacturing objectives. This role owns and manages end-to-end CAD development of complex furniture products, ensuring accuracy and quality, defines CAD Standards, and leads CAD innovation and design automation.
Shift Timing: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage end-to-end CAD development for complex product platforms, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and quality.
Define and establish CAD standards, modeling strategies, and best practices across projects and teams.
Lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of 3D/2D CAD symbols and models for multiple platforms (CET, CAD Pack, pCon, etc.).
Drive design innovation and automation using advanced tools, scripts, and techniques.
Oversee quality assurance processes and ensure continuous improvement.
Conduct design reviews, technical evaluations, and performance optimization of CAD models.
Collaborate with product engineering, product management, and IT teams for seamless CAD-data integration.
Act as a technical authority in resolving complex CAD challenges.
Provide mentorship and coaching to the CAD/design team.
Support and guide CAD Pack or platform-related queries.
Take ownership of CAD deliverables with business priorities and manufacturing feasibility.
Works with IT/engineering to define CAD-data flow across systems.
Leads design innovation, Adoption of new CAD tools, Automation scripts, and cost reductions
Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Production Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
8–12+ years of experience in CAD design.
Being a Senior CAD Designer in a previous role.
Strong expertise in 2D/3D CAD modeling.
Advanced knowledge of CAD platforms such as AutoCAD and Revit.
Experience in design automation or scripting (iLogic, macros) is desirable.
Strong domain knowledge in mechanical engineering or manufacturing.
Ability to define standards and drive technical strategy.
Experience in Agile environments preferred.
Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
Ability to work in a multi-regional environment with flexible shifts.
