TRANSPORTATION CLERK This position is responsible for: • Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Producers Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities. • Owning and promoting a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior. • Correct and sort invoices from the previous day’s deliveries. • Track mailbags by checking off the ones that return and taking them to Customer Service. • Report on missing invoices and mailbags and ensure they are found and turned in. • Sort and file coversheets and invoices for the next day’s deliveries. • Responsible for data entry reports such as: a daily Shorts Report, weekly Equipment Percentage Table report, and a monthly Expense Reports for layover drivers. • Provide customer service over the phone by taking calls or reaching out to buyers to help resolve their issues (i.e. providing delivery ETAs, issues with missing product, etc.) • Cover the office when managers are absent and assist individuals with their needs over the phone and in person (i.e. truck break-downs, issues with deliveries, etc.) • Assist supervisors in carrying out daily tasks and communicating information to drivers on their behalf. • Communicate with other departments such as the accounting office, sales, routers, and the vault to help solve problems and ensure the business runs smoothly. • Excellent attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position. Other duties as assigned. Compensation range: $24.68 - $27.42
