They are seeking a Party & Event Host to plan and coordinate engaging events, deliver exceptional customer service, and ensure a seamless shopping experience for guests of all ages. Responsibilities: - Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests - Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and find what they’re looking for - Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience - Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards as needed to deliver our Brand Promises - Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events - Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity - Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities - Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards - Communicate events with clients and store team members - Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed - Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs - Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed - Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events - Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards.
