Sous Chef The Boaters in Kingston at Metropolitan… · Kingston…

Job Description

Our new Head Chef Anton is on the look out for a experienced Sous Chef to join the team. We have so much to offer at The Boaters in Kingston upon Thames. We lead with amazing food, eclectic and exciting drinks, not to mention our dazzling personality, fantastic service and incredible team.

We are looking for a Sous Chef who is hands on, creative, and passionate about showcasing local and seasonal fresh food.

This truly is a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Chef to join a well-established company that is passionate about delivering incredible food and exceptional service.

Here at Metro Pub Company, our mission is simple - we want this to be the best place you’ve ever worked.

At Metro we’re looking for individuals who share our passion for food to join our kitchen team. We’re looking for individuals with creativity, professionalism and a focused attitude. If you want to work in an environment where your ideas are respected and the provenance and quality of our ingredients are of paramount importance, then a career with Metro could be ideal for you.

Our pubs and our people have so much in common; individual, strong characters, local, independent and simply the best! Like any family, we’re protective over who we let into our fold – we only want the crème de la crème for our precious MPCo.

We know we’re super lucky as we get to choose our family – we’re relaxed if you don’t have the right kind of experience – we recruit people not CVs.

So what’s in it for you?

When you walk through our doors, we want you to feel as though you’re at home. You’re free to bring all that is your wonderful self into our pubs and in turn, we will reward you with the opportunity to progress and develop as far as your imagination sees fit. We have a cracking Apprenticeship programme if that’s your thing and we’re happy to set you up and watch you fly!

We offer competitive rates of pay and great discounts including 33% off all Metro and Greene King pubs and heavily discounted stays in our hotels.

Sounds good – but who are we?

We’re Metropolitan Pub Company (or Metro Pub Co for short). You’ve probably never heard of us as a collective but that’s the way we like it! Our pubs are unique and individual and we wouldn’t want them to feel any other way. We’re massive advocates of local pubs being just that, local, with their own character and charm. We were acquired by Greene King in 2011 and have continued to flourish under their umbrella. We have around 65 “urban locals” where we are proud to create warm and friendly places our guests don’t want to leave and teams who feel exactly the same.

Fancy joining us?

Here’s what you need:

• A National Insurance Number and bank account
• Good written and spoken English
• The right to work in the UK.
