Job Description
Summary: SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company for the real world that uses computer vision to enable checkout-free parking experiences. The Attendant - Driving role supports parking operations by directing customers, monitoring vehicles and facilities, controlling traffic, assisting with equipment maintenance, and providing customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver on Our Promise by ensuring every moment matters for our clients by providing assistance when needed and communicating proactively
- Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces for a seamless parking experience
- Count vehicles on location throughout shift, as needed
- Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies; patrol transient and reserved parking levels as needed
- Provide assistance to customers that have forgotten where they parked their vehicle
- Responsible for being at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager
- Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager
- Communicate debris, water, oil spills and etc. to garage office
- Substitute for Valets when necessary, if authorized
- Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the garage to assist customers in a seamless transportation experience
- Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed
Required Qualifications:
- A valid state driver's license, current address, and acceptable driving record
- Availability to work special shifts if needed (2nd, 3rd shift and/or weekends)
- Proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S. (must provide valid documentation if hired)
- The ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints
- The ability to read, write, add, and subtract US currency and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift) is a plus
