SCA is seeking a visionary, high-impact growth leader to step into a newly created role designed to spearhead its next chapter of market expansion. The Head of Business Development will lead Supply Chain Alliance’s revenue growth by developing new client relationships, expanding strategic accounts, and positioning SCA as a trusted advisor to senior supply chain leaders across North America.
You are a strategic business development leader with 8+ years of sales and business development experience, including 5+ years selling consulting or professional services. You have a proven track record of engaging at all levels of a client organization, identifying complex supply chain challenges, and developing strategies that help clients unlock business value.

Key Responsibilities
The Head of Business Development will be responsible for:
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with short and long-term growth objectives
- Identify and pursue new opportunities across industries
- Monitor opportunities for public RFPs and develop proposals with support from Client Delivery Team
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Lead client acquisition efforts from prospecting through contract execution
- Lead client workshops to determine client needs and engagement scope
- Lead outbound marketing efforts, including website strategy and maintenance, monthly newsletter development and distribution
- Achieve individual and contribute to annual organization revenue targets
- Expand strategic client accounts
Client Relationship Management
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Develop strategic account plans to expand SCA’s presence within strategic client organizations
- Maintain regular engagement with key clients to identify evolving needs
- Explore opportunities to connect clients with SCA’s parent company
Proposal Development & Deal Leadership
- Lead development of proposals, RFP responses, and presentations
- Work closely with the Client Delivery Team, SMEs and external Consulting Partners to scope engagements
- Collaborate with Delivery Principals on pricing and contract negotiations
Market & Industry Development
- Define and execute SCA’s go-to-market strategy across priority industries including retail, consumer goods, manufacturing, and logistics
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
- Represent SCA at industry events, networking functions, and conferences
- Develop strategic partnerships and referral channels
Internal Collaboration
- Partner with Client Delivery Team to align business development activities with delivery capabilities
- Provide market feedback to Leadership to help shape service offering
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
- Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or related field
- 8+ years of business development or sales experience
- 5+ years selling consulting or professional services
- Demonstrated track record of generating and closing new consulting deals
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and enterprise clients
- Executive-level selling capability (VP/C-Suite)
- Extensive network and industry relationships in US and Canada
- Strong relationship-building and networking abilities
- Strategic thinking and market insight
- Excellent presentation and proposal development skills
- Negotiation and contract management expertise
- Strong preference for supply chain industry and domain knowledge
- Excellent understanding of business process flows, client objectives, and ability to capture and articulate scope, and define deliverables
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to travel 30%-40%, primarily in U.S. and Canada

Pay Transparency: 150k base + commission.
