Position Overview
The Line Cook at The Quoin plays a vital role in bringing our wood‑fired, Northern Italian–inspired menu to life. This position supports a high‑energy, design‑driven kitchen where precision, consistency, and respect for ingredients are essential. Ideal candidates are disciplined, detail‑oriented cooks who take pride in thoughtful technique, clean execution, and contributing to a smooth, collaborative service.
Key Responsibilities
Execute dishes according to established recipes, plating standards, and wood‑fired cooking techniques
Maintain strong mise en place and an organized, efficient station throughout service
Assist with daily prep, stock rotation, and ingredient quality checks
Communicate clearly with the culinary team to ensure timing, flow, and consistency
Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety protocols
Support a positive, respectful, and team‑focused kitchen culture
Participate in closing duties, cleaning tasks, and equipment care
Qualifications
1–2 years of professional kitchen experience preferred
Strong knife skills and understanding of fundamental cooking techniques
Experience with wood‑fired or high‑heat cooking is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
High level of organization, cleanliness, and attention to detail
Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
