Intern, Finance at Metagenics in US-NJ-Jersey City, NJ

Summary: Metagenics is dedicated to helping people live healthier lives through effective nutritional products. The Intern, Finance will support the Americas Commercial Finance Team with various tasks including customer analysis, financial reporting, and accounting, gaining hands-on experience in the finance function. Responsibilities: - Assist with conducting weekly/monthly analysis to help the business to make informed, data-decisions based on results (such as sales variance analysis, competitor analysis and price indexing) - Set up necessary templates and work with financial partners to assess the performance of projects, new product launches and advertising investments to determine what value was returned - Explore ways to streamline our existing processes to unlock efficiency benefits - Assist with creating and modifying PowerPoint decks and Excel reports, ensuring they are prepped, reviewed and aligned with company templates for meetings - Gets hands-on experience of working with Power BI reporting tools and MS Copilot - Assist team members with day-to-day finance/reporting tasks and ad-hoc projects and activities as needed Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in an undergraduate and or graduate program studying Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics (required) - Basic proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) - Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills - A strong communicator and collaborator and work effectively with all members of the organization, from individual contributors to top execs - Highly analytical and strategic, with a love of solving problems - You always maintain a friendly disposition — even (and especially) under pressure - Quick on your feet!
