Primary Function
The Data Analyst, Resource Optimization Center (ROC), supports centralized staffing and scheduling operations within GBS to support Bon Secours Mercy Health. This role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on operational performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) that support workforce optimization initiatives across supported staffing and scheduling functions. The ROC Data Analyst partners with operational leadership to provide actionable insights, identify trends, develop dashboards and reporting solutions, and support data-driven decision-making related to staffing efficiency, scheduling effectiveness, labor utilization, and operational performance improvement efforts. This role combines strong analytical expertise with operational understanding to support continuous improvement initiatives across ROC services. Essential Job Functions Data Analytics & KPI Monitoring
Analyze staffing, scheduling, workforce, and operational performance data to support ROC optimization initiatives.
Monitor and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), productivity metrics, and operational benchmarks.
Identify trends, anomalies, and performance gaps through data analysis and reporting.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to ROC leadership to improve operational efficiency and workforce utilization.
Support forecasting and capacity planning efforts through trend analysis and reporting. Reporting & Dashboard Development
Design, develop, maintain, and enhance operational dashboards, scorecards, and automated reporting solutions.
Create recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership, operational teams, and stakeholders.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reporting data across systems and reporting platforms.
Translate complex operational data into meaningful visualizations and executive-level summaries.
Maintain reporting documentation, data definitions, and reporting standards. Auditing & Data Integrity
Conduct audits and validation activities to ensure accuracy and reliability of staffing and scheduling data.
Identify data discrepancies, system issues, and process gaps impacting operational reporting.
Partner with operational and technical teams to resolve data quality concerns.
Support governance and compliance standards related to reporting and operational data management. Process Improvement & Operational Support
Collaborate with ROC leadership and operational stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
Provide analytical support for workforce management initiatives, staffing models, scheduling strategies, and operational improvement projects.
Assist in evaluating operational workflows and recommending improvements based on data findings.
Participate in implementation and optimization efforts for workforce management and scheduling technologies.
Support change management efforts through reporting and performance measurement. Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
Serve as a subject matter resource for ROC operational reporting and analytics.
Partner with staffing, scheduling, HR, finance, and operational leadership teams to support enterprise workforce initiatives.
Present findings, trends, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Support training and adoption of reporting tools and dashboards as needed.
