Job Description
Summary: Mercury Insurance is offering the Mercury Ignite Graduate Program in AI, Data, and Automation, which provides a 12-month structured journey for recent graduates. Participants will gain hands-on experience across various business projects and will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications under the guidance of senior engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Rotate through assignments in different areas of Application Development, building a solid foundation in software engineering concepts, tools, quality engineering, and processes
- Develop a strong understanding of relevant product areas, codebases, and systems
- Write high-quality code for simple scenarios with good test coverage
- Help with any Application System Support needs
- Participate in Review of Design and Application code to ensure Best Practices, Adherence to Mercury Standards and High Quality
Required Qualifications:
- Be legally eligible to work in the U.S
- Recently completed a bachelor's or both bachelor's and master's degree in an information technology (computer science, Electrical engineering, Mathematics and Data science) field
- Able to provide a cumulative GPA, as reported by your school. Minimum 3.0 GPA required
- Graduation date on or after November 2025 but no later than June 2026
- Planning to seek full-time employment by June 2026
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3.5 or higher GPA preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Good problem-solving skills
- Willingness to independently learn and make an impact within a team environment
- Strong programming skills in at least one of the following: Java, JavaScript, Python
- Good understanding of different data structures and algorithms
- Preferred but not required: experience with AI, SQL and Git/GitHub/GitLab
