Job Description
Summary: Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America (MBRDNA) is committed to delivering world-class automotive technologies. The Certification & Regulatory Affairs Intern will support the In-Use and Certification team with data retention, reporting, and various tasks related to the testing process and compliance with federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
- General support to the In-Use and Certification team
- Support the team by updating the EPA In-Use verification submission process. Fix or create new files for converting and extracting testing data from TOM formatting to .xml files so they can be uploaded to EV-CIS (EPA reporting site)
- Support in daily In-Use tasks including customer contact, mailouts, loaner fleet management, and document retention
- Support collaboration within MBRDNA on common projects and objectives
- Collaborate within MBRDNA teams to support common projects and objectives
Required Qualifications:
- Current enrollment/recent completion of Bachelor's in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or related field. At least junior/senior level of undergrad degree
- High School Diploma
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong academic standing
- Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Ability to learn and understand different technical topics fast
- Ability to clearly discuss and communicate complex technical topics in a diverse multicultural environment
- Desire to build effective working relationships
- Desire for continuous personal development and growth
- Experience with the following: Excel, eXtensible Markup Language (XML), JavaScript
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with cross functional teams
