About the opportunity
As a Groups Facilitator, you will help design and deliver group programs that build connection, skills and wellbeing in our community. Working alongside clinical, peer and community team members, you will co facilitate groups that are evidence based, trauma informed, inclusive and shaped by participant needs.
The role combines structured group work with creative approaches such as arts based, mindfulness and nature based activities. You will also provide 1:1 support using tailored group material for participants who are not yet ready for group settings.
This is a rewarding opportunity that will see you contribute to safety planning, engagement and ongoing improvement of the groups programs by working collaboratively, reflecting on what works and improving the program over time.

About you
You are confident working with diverse people and creating safe, inclusive spaces. You value collaboration, are able to balance structure with adaptability in group settings and are open to creative approaches that support engagement and wellbeing.
Lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery is warmly welcomed.
What you’ll bring:
- Relevant qualification in community services, mental health, peer work or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience planning and facilitating group programs in mental health, AOD or community settings
- Ability to build genuine, respectful relationships and connect with people from a range of backgrounds, identities and experiences
- Right to Work within Australia
- Satisfactory National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to undertake
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Desirable:
- Lived experience of mental health challenges or recovery is strongly encouraged and valued in this role
- Experience or interest in creative or expressive approaches such as arts, mindfulness, nature, music or movement is highly regarded

Wellways, in partnership with APMHA Healthcare and GV Health, is excited to be working together across Greater Shepparton, Strathbogie, and Moira to strengthen mental health and wellbeing support across the region. Together, we're aiming to offer services that meet the unique needs of individuals in our community, whenever and wherever they are needed.
