Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Advanced Practice Provider – Breast Surgery Operating Room
Join MSK’s Breast Surgery team as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and play a key role in delivering high-quality surgical oncology care. In this role, you will primarily support breast surgery cases at the Josie Robertson Surgery Center (JRSC), a state-of-the-art outpatient surgical facility, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Role Overview:
- Serve as a first or second assist in the Operating Room for breast surgery cases
- Perform post-operative checks, rounding, and chart review to prepare patients for surgery
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
- Support patients throughout their surgical journey, addressing medical and psychosocial needs
- Contribute to patient education and clinical support programs to ensure continuity of care
- Provide occasional coverage at the Main Campus OR as needed
Key Qualifications:
- Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
- Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
- Experience is preferred but new graduates with breast or surgical experience are encouraged to apply
- RNFA Certification
- Related National NP certification
- BLS/ACLS certification
Or
- Graduate from an accredited PA program
- NCCPA certification
- Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
- Experience is preferred but new graduates with breast or surgical experience are encouraged to apply
- BLS/ACLS certification

Additional Information:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm or 9am–9pm), Monday–Friday; potential rotating Saturdays in the future
- Location: Josie Robertson Surgery Center, 1133 York Ave, NY, with occasional coverage at Main Campus, 1275 York Ave, NY
- Reports to: Manager, APP
