Job Description
Summary: Medtronic is a leader in global healthcare technology, committed to innovation and improving patient outcomes. The Packaging Engineer will support the development and implementation of packaging solutions for medical technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and product integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Development of package labels, packaging components and assemblies for medical devices. Supports verification, validation, and implementation of package systems into manufacturing
- Continuation activities required to support product labeling, testing and overall compliance requirements
- Familiarization with working in a regulated environment
- Documentation activities associated with the qualification and release of package designs and specifications
- Coordination and communication of packaging technology and designs with project teams as part of the phase review development process
- Documentation activities associated with Bill of Materials/final package configurations
Required Qualifications:
- 0+ years of experience with a bachelor's or advanced degree
- Familiarization with working in a regulated environment
- Documentation activities associated with the qualification and release of package designs and specifications
- Coordination and communication of packaging technology and designs with project teams as part of the phase review development process
- Documentation activities associated with Bill of Materials/final package configurations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Medtronic experience
- Package Engineering experience/background
- Demonstrated skills in the use of computers and have experience with Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint
- Labeling System and Medical Device experience
- Demonstrates initiative; results oriented; willingness and ability to institute change
- Demonstrates strong process-orientation and strong interest in continuous improvement
- Proven excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
- Proven effective decision-making skills -- ability to negotiate and balance decisions and priorities across needs of multiple stakeholders
