McLane Ford of Fredericksburg is seeking a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our growing, family-owned dealership in the heart of Texas Hill Country! We are looking for a motivated technician with a strong mechanical background who isFord-certified and ready to step into a stable, long-term career.
Commute or relocation to Fredericksburg is required.

Responsibilities
Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership standards
Test-drive vehicles and inspect components/systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment
Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including:
- Engine
- Transmission
- Electrical steering
- Suspension
- Brakes
- Air conditioning
- And more
Communicate findings clearly with the Service Advisor and provide time estimates for additional repairs
Execute warranty repairs following manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ASE Certification preferred
- Ford Certification required
- Prior experience at a Ford dealership strongly preferred
- B-Level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to learn
- Strong customer service skills and basic computer competency
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to learn new technologies, repair procedures, and specs
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
