Join Maxis as a Rewards, Performance and Enablement Intern where you will gain hands-on experience supporting HR digital transformation initiatives, AI-driven automation projects, data analytics, and enterprise system enhancements. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies such as Generative AI, Machine Learning, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms while working closely with HRIT, IT, and business stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, employee experience, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Digital Transformation & AI Solutions
Support the implementation, testing, and enhancement of OCR, data extraction, and Generative AI solutions.
Assist in automating the scanning, extraction, digitisation, validation, and processing of leave applications, expense claims, and other HR-related documents.
Participate in the development and deployment of AI-powered solutions that improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation.
2. Machine Learning & Advanced Analytics
Support the design and development of machine learning models to identify anomalous expense patterns and detect potential fraud, errors, or policy violations.
Assist in building predictive analytics models using historical HR and workforce data.
Analyze data trends to generate insights related to employee turnover risks, workforce planning, and retention strategies.
Contribute to model testing, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement activities.
3. LLM & Conversational AI Development
Support the development of Large Language Model (LLM)-powered workflows to automate the classification and routing of leave applications, expense claims, and HR service requests.
Assist in designing, testing, and enhancing AI-powered chatbot capabilities.
Contribute to the development of conversational AI solutions that provide employees with instant self-service support on HR-related matters, including leave policies, benefits, payroll, and employee services.
Participate in prompt engineering, chatbot testing, and performance optimisation activities.
4. Workday HCM & HRIT Systems Support
Partner with the HRIT team to support system configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
Assist in configuring intelligent business rules within the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) platform.
Support workforce data validation, reconciliation, and governance processes to ensure compliance with company policies and operational requirements.
Participate in system enhancement initiatives and user adoption activities.
5. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Project Support
Support end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for newly implemented AI-driven and HR technology solutions.
Assist in preparing test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and execution documentation.
Track defects, document findings, and coordinate with stakeholders to support issue resolution.
Participate in project meetings, workshops, progress reporting, and change management activities.
6. Reporting, Dashboard Development & Data Visualisation
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, analytical reports, and data visualisations.
Consolidate, analyse, and interpret HR and organisational data to support business reporting requirements.
Monitor key workforce and operational performance metrics.
Generate actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Stakeholder Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with HR, HRIT, IT, and cross-functional teams to support project delivery and operational excellence.
Assist in documenting business processes, project updates, technical specifications, and user guides.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance employee experience and organisational effectiveness.
Support innovation efforts through the exploration of emerging AI and digital technologies.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Business Analytics, Human Resource Technology, or a related field.
Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, automation, and digital transformation.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Familiarity with Python, SQL, or other programming languages used for data analysis and machine learning.
Knowledge of data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Good to Have
Exposure to Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or chatbot technologies.
Basic understanding of OCR, document processing, and workflow automation solutions.
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and predictive analytics techniques.
